Retroactive to 1/1/15, computers, software and related technology are expenses that are eligible for withdrawal from a 529 College Savings Plan.  Computers join tuition, fees, books and supplies required for attendance as eligible for withdrawal.  Allowable expenses must be incurred during the same calendar year as the associated 529 College Savings Plan withdrawal.  See IRS Publication 970 for more details at www.irs.gov.
